Page Lag

Is it just me or when you go on a page, with many comments, and many of the people have Gifs as their Signature, does it make your page freeze a little bit or lag?

Imo having 10 gifs, i.e Joehan, Fap just has made it more laggy for me, maybe others.

Or is my internet slow?

There should be a maximum limit. Having 10 gifs, makes it extremely more laggy for me, more than ever before. There should be a maximum cap of 2, plus if you guys are active and post alot, quite bugging

Agreed with ovo (inb4 neg rep). Signature space limited at 550 pixels, which is more than enough to show whatever shit goal you've scored.

I have 2 gifs in my sig, not 10.

Seriously though, pretty sure people who are willing to give something back would be willing to donate to run a proper website for FM rather than forumotion. We're nearly a year old with a well established league and community, surely time to upgrade? Wouldn't be that expensive if you set-up ad revenue etc.

Tbf it's something I've thought about as not only will it improve our image, there's a lot of work behind the scenes that could be reduced if we went to proper hosting.

Worst part is that if we migrate, we won't be able to move the posts/topics/etc. Forumotion don't provide any services forr you to back up or move your website and your data, only they are entitled to it.

Aye, it's not in their interest to allow you to move away easily. However there is this phpBB converter that might be of some use.... it doesn't backup the database but works by crawling the site and building a makeshift one.
