IHL Update

With regards to the situation we've had recently with missing the start of the IHL, and both captains being inactive, we have decided as a majority to completely re-do both teams.

Both teams were picked fairly and were balanced out equally. The way we did this was to list players who play in one position, for example, goalkeeper, then we both pick 2 players from that list.

The positions we picked were as follows: 3 GK's, 2 DM's, 2 AM's, and 3 FWD's.

The squad's were chosen as below:

Could players please PM their respective captains if there are any issues with attending the matches.

Match days are Wednesdays and Saturdays, times will be agreed between captains of both teams prior to the match.

Aaron isnt good enough? fuck off. Aaron's played the majority of our games and we have the best defensive record in division one not division two where some of the keepers have been picked from, i've watched keepers on that list and know for a fact i could tear them apart the amount of time they commit and take up stupid positions.

Aidan was in the draft list for fwds, I think you should have been picked before aeRo, but i don't know how you play in 4s and has been suggested that you're not as good as 4v4 than 3v3's.

We did this as fair as possible. The way it should have been done. A list of active players, Gk's, Dm's, Am's and Fwd's, and we just picked them each one by one the way it was supposed to be.

Cathletico stupidly in the beginning, submitted their squad without any discussion with the league and others. We should have done what we did now from the beginning. Simple as. Idc if you complain about the squads that were picked, but the process we did it in was better than the one caths did.

Plus its not the end of the world, players can be traded/cut as much as we want.

Do people really have to bitch about this? It's only two captains who have picked active players they think will play well together in a 4vs4 format, and that's it. It doesn't mean that those who got picked are the best in the league and it doesn't mean that those who didn't get picked aren't good enough. So if you didn't get picked, will you please stfu and give these guys some credit for keeping our teams in the league.

IHL Update:

After the incidents yesterday with Cath, the Admin of IHL (Kondak) has been contacted and has said that he wishes the squads and captains to remain as they are now, in this thread.

Team A, I'll be contacting everyone later on regarding practice and other info.

I couldn't care less if I was playing. What I object to is that a game was already played, therefore those who played had a stake in the tournament. If it was done this way at the beginning then I would have had no objection, but changing it when the tournament is already under way is really fucking stupid.

Wrong. I still object as a game was played already under the impression that it was part of a tournament. That's now 20 minutes out of people's time for absolutely nothing.

a) I don't have the time atm, exams, hockey festivals, girlfriend, blablabla etc.

b) I can't connect to majority of hosts so would spend ages faffing around getting a host I could join (if I was to be selected to play).

c) There are better forwards to select.

and aidan, the reason you probably weren't picked is cos of the qualities you've just shown by making twatish comments. You may well be one of the best players on the pitch but 4v4 is about bonding as a team, which is hard to do with someone as arrogant and ignorant as yourself.

What I have did is defend my team-mates when someone called them not good enough to play then I just suggested that there are keepers on the list who aaron is better than. Bonding as a team ? I think that any team I have played in has had a stronger bond than other monkees of course, CB's and nations cup champions team Scotland.

Schunpepeppepepl - I Wacthed him the other day, really slow in passing could easily have been shut down on a rebound which would allow the other team an open goal, he messed up for one of the goals as well where I have no clue what he was doing

Ussop - Decent keeper makes a lot of mistakes more than aaron who is apparently well known for making mistakes but hes made max 2 this season

Vargo - decent keeper again although imo hes more of a mid he rushes a lot and can easily get caught out

Shock - Good keeper does things safely but sometimes just loses concentration which costs him quite a bit

Where as

Aaron - Least conceded goals in the league last season and least conceded this season. This season after his distribution not being to great hes improved on that quite a bit although can still make the odd mistake from time to time 1 notable one this season in the acdp people match.
