Nations Cup

At the end of this season I thought this would be a decent idea to have a Nations Cup involving.

England
Scotland
Wales
Northern Ireland
Republic of Ireland
India
Scandinavia
ROTW

Would be good having Aidan, Shockboy, Circleboy playing for their country against Goku, Rising and Sukh.

There could be a possiblity of 2 English teams - northern and southern. Then there'd also be 8 teams in all - great for a "cup"

I have Welsh in me (no Deer anal sex jokes please) so, under FIFA rules, I qualify for the Wales football team.

We could split England into North and South, then we'd have 8 teams. Start with a 2 groups of four, top 2 qualify, then semi finals, then third place playoff and final.

As the guy who came up with this sexual idea, there wont be two England teams. I can understand the whole idea of having more people play and also the idea of North not wanting South to win but at the end of the day an England team would still play for England. Also, I can't see others being happy if it was to be a knockout stage and the final was contested between England and England. So therefore there will only be one England team.

In my opinion though there are a couple of teams, Scotland for instance who could probably beat an England team despite the amount of players England has.

It wouldn't be two English teams! It's be a North England team, and a completely separate South England team. I don't understand your objection.

i dont mind you making potato jokes, calling irish fags or doing any of that banter, but please show respect and appreciate the desire of nationalists in northern ireland. In legality, you can claim british or irish citizenship, so anybody from the north is eligible for ireland.

Locke is as republican as myself so he is certainly allowed in the republic of ireland team.

Um, as the only active republican irish on this site, locke and myself will deal with the irish team.

Five man squads. Captains for each country will pick four other players from the countries pool.

Need some more Indians, Scots, Welsh and Irish coming forward.

Donny, would you agree with the idea that all players should be put into groups of their nation get their own forum and they can set up their own events to discuss team selections. So ultimately it is national teams that go beyond the cup and after they can arrange friendlies and compete for friendlies during the holiday breaks etc? With friendlies not being overplayed so We can keep the glamour. Thoughts ? So that everyone can be involved with their nation, rather than just the 5.

Yeah, in the long term it could be run like that, this tournament can just help it get going.
