This is for the older/maturer side of FM, the younger lot will just call this guy a cunt etc etc.

What do you think of this guy? Does he do right or wrong?

Personally I think he's completely in the right and she needs a kick or something to sort her out. Problem is, are most kids like this today? Do you think todays generation are different to previous?

No point flaming, just shows your immaturity. x

mfw none of you even watched the video, he finds his daughters msg about him on facebook, and he is fed up of her attitude, then he shoots her laptop

its nothing even to do w/ facebook its just her attitude towards her parents

Agree with the shooting but I do not think he is as good a parent as people claim him to be. In the message, his daughter is shown to be disrespectful and lazy and I think the parents are at fault in that aspect

It doesn't really matter if he's right or not, what matters is the consequences of his actions and whether his daugther is going to grow up as a responsible adult.

So even though he is right and the kid's a lazy brat, I'm not sure if this is going to help. Depends on the personality of his daughter though. Some would rebel even more.

But what's certainly not going to help is the fact that you can't erase this from your past - any of her future employers is going to know about this. So not fair to the kid tbh.

Oh, and the whole gun slinging cowboy stuff is:
    a) ridiculous
    b) irrational (why would you destroy a perfectly functional laptop, just sell it ffs)

My daughter wrote something bad about me ... ohhh i knoww how to stop it lets shoot her laptop, that will patch things up.

Maybe he should try and interact more as a parent with his daughter instead of just dictating everything - its clearly not working.

I lol'ed so much when he reads the bit about her saying 'you could just pay me for all the shit I do around the house' ... oh god are kids really like this today? If I'd have said that when I was growing up I'd have been back handed and sent to my room for 2 weeks.

Kids are so lucky these days, parents are too scared to properly discipline their children because they know they'll end up being confronted by social services over it. It's a disgrace. The shooting of the laptop was a bit weak, though ... I'd have just taken it and used it myself right in front of her face just to prolong the punishment even further, although forcing her to pay him back for the bullets was a nice touch.

We had just the same problems when we were growing up(as in having to manage school, house work and social lives) and we didn't kick up a shitstorm about it, though mind you we didn't really have the internet to bitch to back then.
