A decent matchday yesterday, where many goals were scored, a good improvement on the previous matchday. Let's find out about what happened in the action...

    NWA 6-1 Deja Entendudes

A good win for NWA, who took the lead early on from some casual defending from Donny, who's clearance deflected back off thor91 and in. They doubled their lead when some more laclustre deflending led to a simple tap in from Rachel. Immediately afterwards, they even furthered there lead - good passing between thor91 and Rachel led to a brilliant finish from the latter. It was all turning out to be a nightmare for Deja. They went further behind with a great effort from Rachel finding its way into the corner of the net.

It was not the biggest surprise when NWA came out of the second half, scoring another, when Chef pounced on a miscontrol by Alec Baldwin to score. Chef got another in the same kind of situation, pouncing on a loose ball from Alec Baldwin to slot home again.

Credit to Deja though, who kept at it and managed to deny NWA from a clean sheet. Rising picked up a ball in midfield, and slotted him, two seconds before the final whistle.

Final score NWA 6-1 Deja Entendudes

    Socerette's 1-3 CircleBoy's

CircleBoys are now back on track again, after a slight blip in form. They, at the start, were without V-11, who had outside commitment, but did arrive whilst the first half was being played.

Socerettes began well and created some good chances, notably a shot from ace where goalkeeper CircleBoy saved well. It was CircleBoys who took the lead though. Aidan squared a good ball to DEVINURDOG, who finish greatly to put them ahead. Halftime soon appraoched.

At half time, V-11 came on for Aidan. Socerettes started the second half well with good chances, like when Lloyd Banks shot at CircleBoy, and ace followed it up with a shot that was blocked by V-11.

Halfway through the second half, a good cross from DEVINURDOG found V-11, who slotted past the goalkeeper to put CircleBoy's 2 ahead.

Another came for CircleBoy's when V-11's ball off the wall wrongfooted the keepr, and DEVINURDOG was on hand to finish well past him.

Credit to Socerettes though, for replying immediately after. Some good passing from kick off cut apart the defence, and socrates finished well.

For the rest of the game, possession was very much phased out in the middle of the park. Soon, it was finished, and it proved a good result for CircleBoy's, who can now look forward to a double header with the Leftovers. For the Socerettes though, they'll have to pick themselves up before facing two games against Deja Entendudes.

    Leftovers 1-5 Cathletico

A convincing win for Cathletico's, to set them back on track this campaign. Cathletico's took the lead - Maddude wrongfooting Griffin before slotting home. Leftovers almost equalized - hitting the post, and the next ball upfield found Blazing, who finished into an empty net. They did get one back though, with a good finish from Griffin.

There was some pressure from Leftovers just before halftime, but both teams knew they had to step it up a bit next half. And the second half got underway with Cathletico immediately scoring. A second was added, with Maddude finishing well from opc's cross. One more was added, when Maddude's good shot hit off the post, but opc put it away.

A good win for Cathletico then, whilst the Leftovers still wait for a first points.

Goal of the matchday: Rachel's finish into the top corner vs Deja Entendudes
Player of the matchday: Maddude for some good work against the Leftovers
Shock of the matchday: NWA'S 6-1 home win against Deja Entendudes

So, the league was back into its finest full swing again, after a recent shortage of goals. I hope you're enjoyed reading, and please share your thoughts below. Until then, see you next matchday! Smile
