So yes, this is thesecond try at making the tournament new and improved FM Achtung Tournament! This version will be more fun than the previous, and will be less of a problem in my department to handle. We will be using more "sophisticated" tables to present our boards this time, as the other table was shitty.
WE WILL BE HAVING 32 PEOPLE, SO REJOICE!
Now for the complicated bit, explaining how this will work. So, the first round is a group stage or sorts, the groups will be 4 players each, making 8 groups. If I was in one group, I would have to face my other 3 opponents in a big 1v1v1v1 game, and there will be two of these games. You would get 5 points for 1st, 3 points for 2nd, 1 point for 3rd and 0 points for 4th. Only 2 people qualify from each group, so the people with the most points go through. The second stage is a BIG knock-out round, where 2 groups of 8 people play in a 1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1 game, and the top 4 from each group go through. We then reach the quarter finals, which will turn into the 1v1 format again until the end of the tournament, easy enough, right?
